Historical Information: RS-11 1800 hp diesel road switcher locomotives were produced by ALCO over a period of 8 years starting in early 1956. They could be found in service on passenger and commuter lines as well as heavy-haul and local freight. Some are still in service today on various short-lines.
This Atlas N scale locomotive is DCC-READY for easy DCC decoder installation. Its many features include full pilots, golden-white LEDs, separate handrails and side sill, and factory-equipped AccuMate® couplers.
