Historical Information: 127 6-axle 2400 hp H24-66 Train Master diesel-electric locomotives were produced by Fairbanks-Morse between 1953 and 1957.
This Atlas HO scale Master Series Silver locomotive is DCC-READY and comes with a NMRA 8-pin plug for easy DCC decoder installation. It also comes with a five-pole skewed armature motor with dual flywheels for optimum performance at all speeds. The many features include a realistic die-cast under-frame, directional lighting, real metal springs on trucks, etched metal radiator grilles, painted crew members, separately-applied door handles, separately-installed fine scale handrails, factory-equipped AccuMate couplers, and railroad specific details (lighted classification lights as per prototype).
