BNSF 4230, built in April 1979 as ATSF 6373, was one of 536 four-axle 2250 hp B23-7 diesel locomotives built by GE over a period of 7 years starting in 1977. 411 were sold in the U.S. and 125 went to Mexico. Many “Dash 7” engines are still in service.
ATLAS 40000285 N scale is DCC/decoder ready. Its many features include a slow speed motor, dual brass flywheels, low-friction mechanism, directional lighting, golden-white LEDs, accurate painting and lettering, and factory installed AccuMate® magnetic knuckle couplers.
