Historical Information: RSD-4 and RSD-5 (6-axle 1600hp) diesel-electric locomotives were produced by Alco. The RSD-4 locomotives were produced between 1951 and 1952 and the RSD-5 locomotives (basically an upgraded version of the RSD-4) were produced between 1952 and 1955.
